Dr. R. Shivaraman
Dr. R. Shivaraman, PhD (Data Storage Devices) spearheads the Research, Innovation and Technical Education functions of Accendere. Having completed his Masters in Nanotechnology following his Bachelors (Computer Science), Shiva derives his expertise in a broad range of topics from the time spent in top research facilities such as Carnegie Mellon University, SRM University and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
Shiva’s research interests include applications of nanotechnology for magnetic storage devices, electronics, reinforced construction components, drug delivery systems and robotics. He has over 18 international journal publications, 2 international patents and over thirty international conference publications to his credit. Geo George Philip
Geo spearheads the Concept Paper Experience for schools in India. He holds a Bachelors degree in Biotechnology and has a Masters by research degree in Nanotechnology. He has a wide range of research experience and several publications in peer reviewed journals in topics ranging from antibacterial substances to next generation glucose sensors. He has considerable expertise in electron microscopy and the synthesis of nanofibers for photonic and photocatalytic applications. He has considerable teaching experience; having taught Bachelors and Masters students apart from mentoring high school students
Dr. Nikesh Vellu Valappil
He is fascinated by things that are small and has worked to understand the behaviour of materials at the nanoscale level. His interests led him to research on understanding the properties of materials and manipulating them, which can have tremendous potential for various devices and applications. His major projects include the synthesis and fabrication of nanoparticles and nanophotonic devices and studying their structural and optical properties, fabricating photonic and plasmonic devices using standard lithographic techniques, thin film deposition etc. or by solution processing of polymers. He is an alumnus ofUniversity of Pune, having done his Bachelors in Electronics, Masters in Physics and also his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology from there. His Ph.D. focused on the synthesis and study of electronic and optical properties of semiconductor nanocrystals. He has two postdocs to his credit, one from City University of New York, New York on Nanophotonics and the other from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai where he continued his work on Nanophotonics and on Plasmonics. He has also worked as a contractual faculty at a college in Kerala and at Cochin University. Throughout his research career, his interests were focused on analysing the characteristics of materials at nanoscale level and looking for their applications, which led him to publish in peer reviewed international journals and also file a patent on flexible micro cavity structures.
Dr. Nilanjan Das
Dr. Nilanjan believes in simplicity and applies this to his thinking as well as to his work. He is a foodie and this developed an interest in him to gather knowledge about on different foods/diet/food ingredients help in preventing various ailments. He believes the fact that a healthy diet can make life disease free. As he says, we all know two important things - almost all the synthetic drugs possess some side effects, and prevention is always better than cure. This got him developing ideas about continuous intake of beneficial foods for prevention of numerous disorders. His passion in food based research and simplified way of research understanding held good and helped him fulfill his dream of doing research in top institutes in India and abroad. He possesses a Bachelors and Masters in Physiology from University of Calcutta. His Ph.D. is in Nutritional Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the universities Department of Physiology. He undertook two postdocs, one from ICGEB, New Delhi on Microbiology and Immunology and the other from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA on role of physiochemical in the prevention of inflammation and cancer. He has also worked as a contractual faculty in Department of Food and Nutrition at West Bengal State University. Throughout his research career, his areas of interest were roles of physiochemical/whole food/dietary ingredients in prevention of acute and chronic disorders. He went on to publish in various national and international Journals such as IJEB, Food and Function, British Journal of Nutrition etc. This interest still persists in him, with added interest on the mechanism of action of vegetables and fruits of Indian origin in the treatment of diseases.
He is an easy-going, chill, humorous, fun loving, silent and a patient listener. He is passionate towards animals, has had several pets at home and is a proud member of Blue Cross of India (BCI). He has taken active participation in animal adoptions conducted by BCI and volunteered throughout the event. He has an avid interest in gardening and music. He has a respect, dedication and love towards Indian classical/Carnatic music and has given many concerts in Chennai. He was bit by the travel bug while staying in Paris for his Masters and at Grenoble (France) for his Ph.D. This took him to Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany, incorporating both academic and cultural aspects to his travels. He is highly social and is well known among his friends and peers for his cooking and event planning skills.
The confidence he acquired through his international exposure in academics aided him to understand and perform scientific experiments that involve several technical expertises. His doctorate is in the field of Bio-Inorganic Chemistry, with some Physical chemistry and Bio-physics allied to it.
K T Vigneswara Rao is a Fellow in Finance and accounting from Indian Institute of Management, Indore. He has done his Masters in financial management from Pondicherry University and Masters in commerce from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. Earlier, he was associated with S-Ancial Global solutions Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai as a Vice-President (Global product development). He has also worked as a faculty member for MBA and MCA courses NIET, Guntur. His research interests include corporate cash holdings, capital structure, time series and panel data Econometrics. He has published in the Journals listed in “ABDC’’ ranking.
Dr. RANJAN KUMAR
Development and environment protection are the two sides of a coin that has to be taken place parallely. Dr. Ranjan holds a Doctoral degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, on the protection of nuclear fuel bundles from possible accidental conditions, from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India. His Ph.D was focused on the study of mechanical property development of materials and their correlation with Microstructural aspects, by alloying addition and heat treatment processes. In due course he also investigated mechanical behaviour of materials subjected to different mechanical loading conditions. Apart from the primary areas of his doctoral research, Dr. Ranjan has also studied the tribological and surface properties of different composites, polymeric and metallic materials subjected to various operating conditions. He has 9 publications to his credit that includes reputed national and international conferences and journals like Springer. He also has a Junior Research Fellowship Award to his credit by Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), India. He is associated as a Senior Member with Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME). His present research is aimed towards Mechanical Behaviour of Materials, High Energy Materials, FEM & FEA, and Futuristic Weapon Systems.
Dr. Ranjan has completed Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, Odisha, India. In addition to that he also posses Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Kalinga Polytechnic, under the SCTE&VT, Odisha, India. He was associated with Keihin Fie Pvt. Ltd., one of the world’s leading carburettor manufacturing industry, where he had the exposure towards various Special Purpose Machines (Operation) after his Diploma.
Sukhdev Singh received the B.Sc. degree and M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mathematics at Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh Mani Tripathi. Dr. Singh was the recipient of a Junior Research Fellowship in 2010 and a Senior Research Fellowship in 2013 from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India.
His research interests include statistical estimation, prediction, reliability sampling plan and record values in the area of life testing and reliability analysis. He went on to publish in various International Journals such as IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Statistical Papers, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation etc. He is also the reviewer of the IEEE Transactions on Reliability and Journal of Applied Statistics.
Kiran Khatter received the M.Tech – Information Technology from Punjabi University, Patiala, India and Ph.D in Computer Science from Himachal Pradesh University, Summer Hill, Shimla, India. Her research focused on the Mapping and Quantification of Non-functional requirements. She has keen interest in Computer Programming which led her to be as an Oracle Certified Java SE 6 Programmer. She has done training in SAP-ABAP programming and also handled various ABAP Projects. Her research interests span over Software Engineering, Image Processing, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics and Android Applications. She went on to publish in various International Journals such as Indian Journal of Science and Technology, International Journal of Control Theory and Applications etc. She has also various papers in the proceedings of various International Conferences published by IEEE, Springer, Elsevier etc.
Dr. Moovendhan V. has done his FPM from IIM Indore in the field of Strategic
Management, and has done his M.Tech in Information Systems and Management
from University of Mysore. He has more than 18 years of industry experience. He has
worked with research organizations, like CMIE and CRISIL. He has done consultancy
for Election Commission of India and other reputed public and private organizations.
His research interests include Brand Marketing & Management Research, Strategic
Management, Entrepreneurship and Data Science.
Dr. Ankit Sharma
Dr. Ankit Sharma is a Fellow from IIM Indore in the area of Finance and Accounting. His thesis work focused on the performance of commodity futures markets studying their investment potential and inflation hedging properties. Before joining IIM Indore he completed M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding from G.B.P.U.A.&T. Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He is recipient of GATE fellowship, CSIR-Junior research fellowship, and research fellowship at IIM Indore. He has cleared National Eligibility Test [NET] in the areas of Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Management Sciences. He has published few research papers and a book entitled, "Terminal Heat Tolerance in Bread Wheat: Genetic Analysis of Quantitative Traits". He is fascinated by the capital markets and plans to work on the extension of Minsky's financial instability hypothesis.
